Surgery tomorrow....

So...I'm having surgery at 10:15 tomorrow on my left hand/wrist. I guess technically it's this morning, since it is 1:00 a.m. Any insight as to how to care for a baby with just one hand? I'm particularly interested in how nursing is going to work out. This will be quite the adventure! Once I'm able to use my hand again, I'll let you know how it's all working out!

Oh man! Good luck! I have no advice for you, I wish I did. How long does the surgery take?

That sounds awful! I feel really bad for you. I've had my fair share of weird sudden health problems recently so I feel your pain. Although dealing with a newborn with one hand would be quite the challenge. I know this sounds cheesy but, honestly, of all the people I know YOU can do anything and still be smiling at the end.

This is one of those reasons that there are TWO parents. You'll just need lots and lots of help from your hubby. Have him change the diapers, and get your all nestled in and have him hold the baby for you while you nurse. Maybe he'll appreciate that you just have to just sit there while you nurse better!
also, my favorite invention ever: the Boppy. Do you have one? If not, I will seriously buy you one. I used to just lay my babies on it, prop up the boob and let her just chow and I could use my hands.
Anyway, there's my thoughts.
Good luck, I hope it all goes well, and you recover quickly.
Seriously, let me know if you need anything (or a boppy), and I'm there!
Seriously!!!
(I'll email you my phone#)
