Friends and Family

My good friends Kim, Christy & Amber planned a baby shower for me right after I got to Utah. It was mostly family and a few close friends. It was so nice to be able to spend a little quality time with people that I usually only get to see once or twice a year. They had adorable decorations and delicious food. When I opened each present, they had a question on it that I had to answer, like "How many weeks will you stay home from church?," "What is your OBGYN's name?," and "What is the worst part of being pregnant?". Kim had called Dan and asked him all the questions, so it was pretty funny to hear his responses, which were surprisingly accurate. Somehow I just knew that Dan would be volunteering me to get up with the baby in the middle of the night and yet he would be kind enough to volunteer to stay home from church with the baby as long as he needed to. What a guy! Anyway, we had a great time.
Thanks, girls! Love your guts! Here's just a few pictures.
(Thanks, Chels, for being a great photographer!)
Me & Kim Blake (one of the hostesses)--we met while working as EFY counselors back in 2001Me & Christy Sparks--we've been friends since freshman year in college Just one picture of some of the adorable stuff I got! Me & Chelsea Bagozzi--She is married to one of Dan's best friends (and now colleague, since they work together)

Sister Helen Thiriot, me, Sister Merilee Preece & mom--It was so neat to have one of my favorite senior sisters and my mission president's wife be there. I have such sweet memories of my time with them in the England London South Mission.
Cute little Katelynn & Lindsey Switzler--We have been friends since highschool. She was in town from Colorado and made a special effort to be there. I loved having her there (and Katelynn was kind enough to help me open all my presents!).

This picture isn't from the shower, but my high school friend Natalie (Robbins) Copeland was in town from Florida, so we got together for little while one night. Nicole (Robinson) Allen also joined us. It was so fun to catch up with friends I haven't seen for years.

I'm so glad I got to see the pictures of Lindsey, Katelyn, Natalie and Nicole. So fun. Tell Natalie and Nicole, "Hello". How fun. You're getting close, my dear. :)

I just love baby showers! SO fun! I'll have to make your baby a flower clip if she's got hair...
