PINK or BLUE????

It's a......GIRL!!! And she definitely wasn't shy about it! Let's just say she was very cooperative for the ultrasound. :) Just thought I'd share the news! The morning sickness is (finally!) getting better, so life is good! One of these days I'll have to post some pics. Right now I'm just looking pudgy, not pregnant, so I haven't taken too many pics!

Belated Valentine's Post...

I totally forgot to post about Valentines Day. I started the day by "making" and serving breakfast in bed for Dan (Ok, fine, I'm not doing any cooking these days, so it was really a gourmet McD's bacon, egg and cheese biscuit meal with OJ). Dan came home from work with some beautiful white calle lilies, which I love! Unfortunately I didn't even get any pics from the evening. I wasn't feeling too fabulous, so I wasn't up to going out, so I was grateful that Dan decided to make me dinner. I was just expecting him to fire up the grill and grill up his famous tri-tip steak, (which I do love) but he totally surprised me with a fabulous gourmet meal. He broiled sirloin steak topped with sauteed mushrooms, and made roasted potatoes with garlic, rosemary and parmesan and a ceasar salad (and Ben & Jerry's for dessert). It was so tasty! I was so impressed. He also had one of our favorite prints from Italy blown up, which we are going to have framed. He really spoiled me...I'm so lucky to have such a great hubby! We decided to start trading off every other valentines, so I'm in charge next year. I'll have to think of something really fantastic.

Week 15....Yea!

Today is the first day in 2 months that I've actually felt pretty great! (So, I figured I should post something positive, since all I've done lately is complain!) I still have some of the cold still lingering, which is a bit annoying, but I haven't felt nausea at all today. Tonight is the first night that I've actually felt like a normal person! It feels so great. I even went to the gym for the first time in ages. I just told Dan that I don't want to even go to sleep because I'm scared that I'll wake up with the nausea again tomorrow! I'm hoping the worst is over. I have an appointment tomorrow with my OBGYN, so I'm hoping we'll find out when we get to have the ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. I'll keep you posted!

Pretty miserable...

So, what's worse?! Morning sickness or hacking up a lung? I think it's up for debate. It's the first year I've actually remembered to get a flu shot and I've been so sick this year. At church on Sunday, I remember sitting in sacrament meeting, listening to a choir of coughing throughout the congregation, so I pretty much knew it was inevitable. Shortly thereafter, I came down with a really sore throat, which then progressed to the "sounds like I'm faking it" dry cough, which doesn't sound so bad, but makes your chest and throat just ache. I felt a little better yesterday, then woke up this morning feeling miserable....super congested, sore throat, coughing up a lung. Needless to say, I did not go to work and have spent the day drinking orange juice, eating popsicles and watching re-runs of Oprah and Ellen. Good times, good times... So, friends, there is my excuse for not blogging. Well, that, and the morning-noon-and-night sickness, which I'm still optimistically hoping will end sometime in the next little while! I promise as soon as I'm feeling better I'll post something really fabulous (or something...).
