We had a really great dinner at a restaurant called Ciao Italian Eatery, got dessert (yummy Balboa bars and frozen chocolate dipped bananas from Dad's) and walked around the island. It so easy to get
comfortable and take so much for granted living in such a great place, where there are so many cool things to see and do. I told Dan that the only way I would move is if he promised that we would have a family vacation to Southern California every single year, which he agreed to. Lucky for him, or else I'd be staying!
That is EXACTLY how Mike and I felt...and sometimes still feel. We are so glad to be near family, but have such great memories of our life in Cali...Loved it and miss it. Live has gotten to know her cousins really well and grandparents, so we wouldn't trade that aspect of it, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't hard to move! I feel for you guys...just live it up and when you get hear, we will play play play!
ReplyDeleteAGAIN, I KNOW EXACTLY how you feel! It was so hard for me to leave CA to move to PR...I was born and raised in So Cal and LOVE it. PR has been great too (not sure if Zach would agree, LOL). What's nice is that you already have friends and family, you don't have to start from scratch. And at least there are good restaurants in Utah. Puerto Rico is lacking when it comes to good cheap food. We'll have to make yearly trips back to Cali at the same time. Miss you!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for you guys. It'll be so nice to be by family especially with the new addition. You'll love those nights that you can just go out the two of you. Or even catch up on some much needed sleep. Is Dan going to be doing primarily the same thing, just different company? Good luck with everything. Such an exciting time for you guys.
